How often are WordPress updates done?: Core, theme and plugin updates are reviewed every month, and urgent security patches are applied as soon as they are released rather than waiting for the next cycle.
What happens if an update breaks my site?: Every update is checked before and after it goes live, and a current off-site backup is kept. If a plugin update misbehaves, the site is rolled back and the fix found, not left broken.
Do you watch for WordPress security flaws?: Yes. New WordPress and plugin vulnerabilities are published constantly, and recent ones let attackers run their own code on a site through an out-of-date plugin or theme. Your site is patched promptly and checked for anything that should not be there.
Which plugins do you maintain?: Any that are actively maintained and doing their job. If one is abandoned, repeatedly breaks or is doing more harm than good, I flag it and suggest a replacement — new licence costs are always quoted to you first.
Can you look after a site someone else built?: Yes. It starts with a quick check of the plugins, PHP version, backups and security settings, so both of us know what we are working with before any hours are used.
Do I need to approve every update?: Not for routine monthly updates — they are logged in your portal so you can see exactly what changed. Anything that affects your design, content or pricing, I ask about first.
